New Year, New Foundations: Building Towards a Liberatory Future
As the Gregorian new year begins, we find ourselves standing at the intersection of reflection and transformation—a liminal space where the lessons of the past inform the actions of the future. For me, this transition into 2025 is more than a personal milestone; it is a moment to reassert the purpose and vision behind Plutonian Consulting (PC), a collective effort dedicated to equity, liberation, and decolonial transformation.
Why Plutonian Consulting?
Plutonian Consulting was born from a recognition of the deep-seated injustices embedded within systems, institutions, and even our personal narratives. It emerged as both a response to and a vision for something greater: a world where equity isn’t a lofty ideal but a tangible reality shaped by collective action towards autonomy.
This work is personal. As someone who has navigated the intersecting force(s) of coloniality, systemic oppression, and the resilience of my own ancestry, I see PC as both a professional venture and a deeply rooted commitment. It is a space where I, alongside collaborators and community members, aim to dismantle harmful systems and generate new pathways for justice, care, and liberation.
2025 is the year we lay new foundations—not only for the growth of PC but for the communities, movements, and individuals we serve.
The 2025 Vision: Prioritizing Equity and Transformation
This year, Plutonian Consulting is sharpening its focus on three core principles:
Centering Equity as Action: Equity isn’t static; it’s a continuous practice of redistribution, reparation, and recognition. Whether through consulting, coaching, or educational content, PC prioritizes strategies that challenge inequities and create opportunities for marginalized voices to thrive.
Transforming Leadership and Systems: From the workplace to the grassroots, leadership rooted in decolonial values has the power to transform spaces. PC will continue to offer guidance and tools for leaders to build just, intersectional, and liberatory practices that analyzes centralised power.
Building Collective Power: Liberation is not an individual journey. Through initiatives like Depths of Katabasis and Siblings in Struggle, PC fosters spaces for reflection, connection, and how you can contribute to collective action. These are spaces where we can unlearn colonial logic and rebuild in ways that honor our shared humanity.
Why This Work Matters
The work of Plutonian Consulting isn’t easy because it requires a willingness to acquaint ourselves and sit with discomfort, challenge entrenched norms, and imagine futures beyond the constraints of our imagination.
But it is necessary.
It is necessary because every act of transformation, no matter how small, reverberates across communities and generations.
Building PC means investing in more than what is considered a business in our current paradigm. It means investing in the possibility of a world that values care over control, justice over power, and collective liberation over individual success. Ultimately, it means working towards a future where PC no longer needs to exist because each of us have recreated our traditions to embed collective autonomy across generations.
